I would like to pay attention to the weight of the product before buying it, but since I could not do this, I will not rate this product below due to my error of the inattentive reading This is an amazing bag. I bought this canvas bag instead of many others because it has a nice square shape. All the others taper towards the top and look weird to wear but not this one, it keeps that boxy shape. I love that it folds up when nothing is in it, it's quite roomy and perfect for large items as it goes deep. I know it's well made and durable. You can adjust the straps to shorten the length, but as this is a men's bag it doesn't shorten as much as I would like (I'm a woman). I've never had a bag without a zip, this was the first and not the last. There are no zips on this thing at all, but the clips are very strong, nothing fell out when I turned it upside down. I would say I would like the straps to have pads, there are no pads at all but surprisingly it didn't bother my shoulders. I have a light bruise and no bruises from the straps which are just heavy tarpaulin. The most annoying thing about this bag is that it's too heavy and there's nothing in it. I wanted to use this when I go to school and only lasted 1/2 day with it. All I had was a legal pad, a bunch of pens and markers, a giant voice recorder, and a big Texas calculator. The bag felt like 20 pounds. I went home as I live very close to my school and changed my bag before finishing my day because it was so heavy. I'm not weak, I was a medic with military experience for several years, but who wants to voluntarily walk around with 20-50 pounds on their back all day when they don't need to. If they make an identical bag, it's 10 times bigger. Lighter, I would buy immediately. I can't return it so I only use it to store my yarn :( but this bag is as described and beautiful so I gave it 5/5 stars. But be prepared, it's a really heavy bag .
