This was the second of these collars that I have bought. The first lasted almost 2 years before my lab bit into it and shattered the black plastic cap. (The good news is that he only managed to cripple it and render it unusable, but the plastic didn't crack or become a choking hazard.) Otherwise, this collar was perfect for a water-loving dog: lightweight, flexible, and waterproof, without sharp edges that can rub or irritate the skin. It doesn't absorb water and dries quickly, and the added bonus is a very nice cobalt color that contrasts nicely with my dog's black coat.
