Bought two lamps. They were turned upside down with the lampshade and wrapped in cellophane. The base was of good wood, and the lamps of good cloth. I really liked her style. The lamp had a pull cord switch about 6 inches from the base of the lamp that turned off the USB ports and illuminated for those who wanted to turn off the ports. The pull chain does not disable the USB ports, making it easy to keep the cables plugged in and plugged in so you can charge your devices. They are small, maybe 4 inches in diameter and about 16 inches high. I installed LED lights that look great. The color of the shadows is not white, it's about the same as in the picture. The coasters are silver, not gold. Shading gives the base a brassy hue, making it look like the photo. I like them a lot in general. I'll update this when the USB ports fail, which seems to be the case with most chargers of this type, but you know, that's how it is. Wish me luck!
