I've been using it for a few months now and finally feel like I can give a full review. I like this car very much and I am very happy that I decided to invest in it. I have waxed but am tired of letting my hair grow out between treatments. There were also more ingrown hairs - what's the point of spending $$ waxing if I ended up with ugly red bumps? I chose this device after looking at many different options, reading reviews and talking to users. The main differences were: - the number of outbreaks. 65,000 flashes is much higher than other options. I needed a product that I could use for years without having to buy replacement cartridges. You never know when your model will become obsolete. You can also buy a cheaper model and a replacement at the same time, but the "quick price" is better. - wired, non-rechargeable. I don't doubt other companies claim their batteries will last for a full treatment, but I doubt I can think of keeping them charged. The cables are also very long so there are no restrictions on where you can use them. - the largest lens area available for a faster treatment session - quartz lens - clearer treatment instructions. Others say you should use the lowest setting that gives results, but if the process takes weeks or months, how do you know if you're getting poor results? This states that you should use the highest settings without irritating your skin. You'll know right away if you need to change the settings. - nothing else to buy. You don't need goggles, lotions or powders. Purchase notice: This machine must come in a box with turquoise inserts, turquoise wand and machine base. Many reviews/complaints say they received a different colored car in a turquoise box. Buy this from a seller you know and return it if the car color is wrong. The machine must also be fully sealed in a bag that says "Do not open unless you intend to use it." If this package is missing, torn or re-taped, return it and get a new one. Make sure you have at least 30 days to come back, 60 or 90 would be better as it can take a long time to see results. Finally, a few notes about my application: - The video shows a person shaving, curing and then cutting the hair that sits perfectly under the skin until it falls out after a week. In fact, this week these hairs are slowly falling out and you can't tell if they're going to fall out or if it's new growth. You can keep shaving them easily. I didn't shave some sections and they started falling out by about 1/2 inch in length after about 12 days. The first treatment only reduced growth by about 10% and I was very disappointed. I almost got it back but decided to move on. Round 2 went up to about 50% but Round 3 was great at 80% or more. Glad I stuck with it! - the question I see more than any other is whether this can be used on sensitive areas. Yes, very Brazilian style. There are three warnings in the manual as to why this should not be done: skin discoloration, skin sensitivity, and machine hygiene. I decided to go ahead and give it a try. My skin tone is still within the machine range in all areas so don't worry. I tried a few shocks and got no response so it wasn't a problem. You can't get that thing wet so hygiene was the only issue so I make sure all areas are clean and dry. then wipe with dry cloths, but do not apply anything to the lens. Application in these areas is at your own risk - when applied on a grid pattern, everything will be visible. Guess what? Your body is not friendly to the network! We've got knees, ankles and lots of curves! Before you begin, take some time to think about how you want to cover the area. I mainly do circles around my legs instead of working from knee to foot. This works much better for me. You can't grow or while using this so invest in a good razor. It really hurts, but quickly, with no residual pain. Unlike waxing, which can be painful for a while, this pain goes away immediately. The only problem I had was that the lens got very hot during use. The car doesn't turn off because of this, but if I use it for too long, I see red spots on the way. It's ok as I can pause for 5-10 minutes to let it cool down and then start again, but it's a bit annoying.
