First let me start with why I downgraded to 3 stars. The neck diameter is too big/loose around the neck. Judging by the way it hugs the neckline, it seems more appropriate to wear to a figure skating performance. Maybe it's just me, but I would expect a baselayer shirt to have a proper neckline that actually fits close to the diameter of your neck. Compression underwear is meant to keep you warm and wick moisture, but none of that makes sense if you leave your neck and upper shoulders bare like this shirt does. Now about pluses. The shirt keeps what it promises! The most important thing for me is that the shirt keeps you warm even when it's wet. I was very glad I chose this shirt as the base layer for a recent cold weather ultra race that involved running day and night. Despite temperature fluctuations between night and day and back, my body never cools down. If you don't mind a too wide neckline, then this is a great shirt. Unfortunately, the neckline is too loose for my comfort and not even suitable for wearing alone. It just looks like someone stretched and stretched the cleavage. For reference, my neck size is 18 in dress shirts, so the problem is definitely the neck diameter of this shirt. Until Minus33 fixes the neck issue I'll have to stick with Helly Hansen's alternate base coat or something that fits better.
