When I got my nose pierced, the piercer drilled a hole in an uncomfortable spot. Regular hoop rings pull down and tear the hole. once overgrown because the tire didn't reach the hole. They do have a good range of sizes though and the second size fits perfectly! You can also use them for other piercings. I was a little skeptical because some reviews said they were poor quality and others said they were too strong to bend. I think they are beautiful and I also love the variety of colors! They were the same as in the photo and better than expected
