The product is quite durable and the sound quality is quite loud and clear - but it has significant flaws that made me return it: 1) It's not designed to get wet. The screws and speaker grilles rusted and corroded on my boat within a week. this. Do not take it to the beach or boat. The screws must be stainless steel and the speaker grilles must be plastic. 2) You cannot charge the device from a 12 volt source - only 120 volt AC. - It must be supplied with a 12 volt adapter. 3) If you turn off the device, all memory will be lost. this. Bluetooth pairing, last audio mode selection, preset stations, etc. 4) It is not possible to remove the battery and charge it yourself without building your own charger (9V DC) for the Molex connector. It would be nice to have an extra battery charged and ready for replacement. If these deficiencies had been corrected, the product could have received 5 stars.
