I used a metal bobby pin (not the one with the little metal circle you press to close the bobby pin - but the one I used (two of them are the same ) Works pretty Well the metal circle one was a problem and didn't work for me at all I haven't tried the other plastic ones but got the job done with the tool I was going to use to thread the cord through the sheathing of the garment, that I designed and made the job very easy - highly recommend it.
