Review on Sick Puppy: Skink Series Book 4 - Enhancing SEO-friendly Title by Tony Baker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Your actions come back to haunt you.

Do you want to know what happens when you throw garbage out the car window? Read "Sick Puppy" and find out. Twilly Spree sees debris fly out of a Range Rover while driving down a Florida highway. He follows a crime house and then sets out to turn his world upside down. He literally smashes the man's wife's BMW while they're out to eat. He kidnaps her dog. It harms men who are gored on big game. And more. The man in the Range Rover is Palmer Stout, a powerful lobbyist. He receives no messages until the end of the book. Palmer is working on a deal with Richard Clapley to build a new six-lane bridge to Toad Island. Richard wants to turn the island into a resort. The current wooden bridge is just not good. Working with Governor Richard "Dick" Artemus, Palmer goes to great lengths to reach a deal on the bridge, including believing it is in his best interest to vote for her. Willy wants nothing to do with the project. He wants the governor to fund his own projects. Skink appears later in the book. He gets involved in kicks and screams, but helps Twilly. Most of the villains have quirks (which is new, almost all of Carl's villains have quirks), but almost all of them are overdone in this book. I loved the story and the quirky backstories Carl invents for his characters.
