I went shopping and bought and returned several speakers. While the speakers sound fantastic where I installed them, I've used 2 sets in less than 90 days. I hooked them up to a Sony 2 x 100w receiver and they don't seem to be able to handle the power. On the 1st set of speakers, one speaker started crackling and popping around the 3rd use. Revain was absolutely and incredibly helpful and sent a new set within a day or so. Unfortunately, with this replacement set, both speakers made cracking and popping noises on the first try. Both sets never crossed the midpoint of volume. Tried my old Yamahas and they sounded perfect. I don't know what to say about these speakers. At first I was very happy with the sound quality. Deep bass and crisp highs. They just can't handle the power they say they can handle. I will try Somos, Klipsch or Definitive speakers. I would recommend. Probably no.
