Bought 5 pairs after searching for several hours. I use two sets for my 7.1 surround sound system on my screened in porch. I use Atrium 6 as front speakers. The center speaker is fixed. Bought 2 sets to replace worn out 15 year old Athena front and rear speakers. Shortly after installation I started having problems with blown fuses. Replaced fuses but didn't last long before fuses blew again. Then the amp stopped working. Started using another Sansui amp which restarted after the problem started. I went shopping and bought and returned several speakers. While the speakers sound fantastic where I installed them, I've used 2 sets in less than 90 days. I was replacing a pair of 15 year old Bose 151s (old version) when one finally failed. To be honest I'm not happy. The sound quality is no better (or worse). I wonder if they will withstand the elements; Build quality is not that good. This may not be an issue as they are under the eaves and will not have the same impact as my old speakers before they were moved. won't fit. Luckily, the speakers are light enough that I could easily screw in the bare wire while holding the speaker with one hand.

Negative side. my speakers filled with water in a partially unprotected area. The speakers stopped working and when I tried to strip a new set of wires the caps wouldn't come off. Completely stuck. On the bright side. Polk did a great job with customer service and sent out a new pair but I really hope I don't get into the scenario of returning them every year, they couldn't answer what was different from the new pair they are sending.
