These Polks replaced my Bose 151. After 15 years the Bose burned out and I needed a replacement. Good and bad, bad first, that's not my Bose 151, well, that's not my Bose 151. I currently have 8 speakers around my pool and I like my music to come from all directions. Bose used to outperform my other speakers so music just sounded louder from one direction. With these Polk, the transition between speakers is smoother, so I get the same performance from all speakers. My only complaint is that I had to cut off the ends of the banana plugs to install the speakers. Due to the design, my plugs did not fit into the plug housing, they were too long. Not so hot what's up.
