I tried this with my Intel NUC (Skull Canyon) and encountered recurring episodes where the audio was completely cut off (NO AUDIO), especially when switching between media files with different audio formats (eg , Dolby to DTS-HD, etc.). This is an unreliable device, at least for my application and use. I would recommend the Club 3D Adapter, CAC-1170, Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 (supports displays up to 4k/UHD/3840x2160@60Hz), VESA certified for this product, which I purchased after returning this faulty product . UPDATE (Updated from the previous one star review to a five star review: Apparently the last device I ordered must have been defective. After I returned the product for a refund and switched to Club 3D, the Plugable contacted and contacted -Representative who must have read my review offered to ship me the same unit (pre-tested) with no payment or obligation on my part. There was no subsequent request to change my review, nothing, no obligation or fee will" and an attempt to change the correcting crappy attitudes of customers towards their product. They should be commended for standing by their product and aiming to make things right regarding the same. I accepted their offer and recently received a replacement product like them promised.I tried this again.After testing and using for a few days I had K ONE problems. No problems with the sound so far I came across this product during my first round. This unit works as well if not better than the Club 3D I bought in place of this product. Knowing what I know now I probably should have contacted this company first as this product is much smaller than the Club 3D I previously recommended. At the time of writing this update, Plugable is only $17.95 while Club 3D is a whopping $29.99. Whilst I have had no issues with my first Club 3 unit I have received as with the equivalent Plugable product, having worked with a Plugable replacement sent to me by the company and have experienced the best customer service I've ever had, there is ABSOLUTELY no justification for overpaying for the Club 3D version of this product.
