Review on πŸ”§ LEXIVON Premium Impact Universal Joint Socket Swivel Set - Full Cr-Mo Steel Construction (LX-113) by Leo Govindan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Truly the best touchless design.

Typically, pinless designs have a spring that pushes against the bottom of the socket's ball mechanism. The spring usually fails first as the spring wears out and eventually hangs where the pin goes through the ball, blocking the possibility of rotation. It turns out this is very common. Ironically, I tried a Husky block and the spring seized within 5 minutes. Of course, this is not normal for most brands, but it still indicates a weak design. However, Lexivon's swivel/ball mechanism consists of two parts and the chance of spring wear and/or swivel jamming is virtually zero. Imagine a ball with a convexity on one side and a corresponding concavity on the other side. This ball is located between the spring and the ball of the socket mechanism. The socket mechanism ball rides on the concave mechanism is the ball while the spring pushes on the convex side to hold everything in place. The Lexivon's ball-to-ball design offers much smoother operation than the ball-to-spring design found on others. I tested the Lexivon at 450 feet of full torque. , hammers with my punch and it showed no signs of wear. Of course, higher rated torques may show different results. Maybe one day I'll run into a friend with a more powerful percussion gun for further testing. their percussion heads and other percussion accessories. They come with a lifetime guarantee and by most accounts Lexivon does a very good job with them if there is ever a problem. I expect them to last for years as the quality is there.
