Review on 🧀 White Marble Cheese Slicer by Fox Run with 2 Extra Wires - Dimensions: 5 x 8.25 x 1.25 inches by Brian Motley

Having heard good things about this product in the past I decided to get it for myself as we are remodeling our kitchen and how might a marble cheese slicer would NOT be a good investment, would it?! Well, I was immediately disappointed when I opened the box. Everything was packaged very nicely, cardboard and bubble wrap to protect it well and it didn't look like any of the packaging was even slightly damaged, but the wire that was attached to the board was in two pieces broken which rendered it unusable. and the arm was no longer attached. I don't really understand how this could have happened during transit as it appeared they packed it very carefully and nothing looked out of place. You could just remove the broken cable and replace it. It's not ideal that I had to use the spare cable so quickly, but at least they were there. Now the tricky part, there are absolutely no instructions on how to replace the wire. No one. Since the original wire was broken and the handle was no longer attached, I couldn't figure out how things were supposed to fit, so I had to go through a bit of trial and error to get it back together properly. The handle itself is twisted. on a metal bar that acts as a lever, but that's where the handle really can't snap once it's screwed in, so you have to be really careful with that as even a small tug will slip out of your hand without a problem. It's some kind of crap. Now for some positivity. I will keep a piece. The marble itself is beautiful and of very good quality. It's also very heavy so my best advice is to find a good home for it in the kitchen and don't move it often because if it falls it could break a finger/leg and the item itself could just shatter. There are also good pads on the bottom to prevent the marble from touching the surface of your counters to avoid scratching which is always helpful. All in all this is a good product, however I bought something that arrived in less than perfect condition but after putting it back together and figuring out how to put it back together. Now it's good. I just hope the one spare wire I have left will hold up.
