Review on πŸ“± OtterBox Defender Series Case for 1st Gen iPad Pro (11 inch) - Non-Retail Packaging, Black by Paul Monzon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is OtterBox.: Tablet Accessories

I've always been amazed by the protection the OtterBox line offers when using Defender and Commuter style cases. I wanted to protect this iPad from accidental damage and this case was one of the few cases that wasn't just a fancy leather wallet that offered little to no real protection. The case is a little heavy, as you would expect from this type of protection. , slightly doubling the weight of the device. I love that the included case cover for this model still has a "kick stand" mount so you can set the device up at other angles for viewing or use. My three-star rating is probably a bit critical given the feature they needed to do "something" with the Apple Pencil's hold. It's shaky. This side of the case feels very loose, giving the whole package a cheap look. I'm not sure what else to do. I was thinking of cutting this valve off completely, but I see the problem as the "elastic band" side frame separating from the trim groove. Where this case offers protection, one would expect this single feature to be a major disadvantage. Snapping the hard screen protector back into place helps keep that loose part from feeling, but then your device is about 4-5 times wider than it was and slightly heavier.
