Review on 🔧 SharkBite U016LFA4 3/4 Inch Straight Coupling Plumbing Fitting, PEX Push-to-Connect Coupler for PE-RT, HDPE, Copper, CPVC Pipes by David Herman

I can take on many different projects around the house but plumbing - apart from simple things like fixing a leaking faucet - has always been my kryptonite. Regardless, when I found these SharkBite fittings I did a little research, read reviews, watched a few tutorial videos and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you they are a complete game changer. When I started the first project I was going to use them on, I got a nasty surprise: the valve on my main line was out of order and I couldn't turn off the water in my house. Well, if I was going to do these other repairs with SharkBite fittings, why not use them to replace the main fastener? I did that and it turned out great. Installation was painless, I saved several hundred dollars and couldn't be happier. By the way, to replace the main constipation, I needed this clutch. Cutting out the old valve left too much clearance to fit the 3/4" Cash Acme 24736LF Sharkbite Sliding Ball Valve (max 2.25" clearance) so I had to cut more pipe, this coupler on one end and the ball valve attach the other, with a piece of new pipe in between. Presto! Everything tight and no sign of leakage. Update 25/01/2018: I've been watching the new main lockdown for quite some time after installing it, but now a year later it's still in place with not the slightest trace of leakage. Update 06/19/2019: Two and a half years later and still no leak.
