I Love these sandals! They are SO comfortable! I bought these to go to New York City. First let me say I am a bit disabled. I have had six total joint replacements. Both knees, hips and shoulders. Plus, I have had both of my ankles fused. To make a VERY long story short, I have Avascular Necrosis, AVN and Arthritis. I can walk, but not long distances and not without some pain. So having good secure shoes is very important.These sandals have three Velcro straps that adjust to your foot. They are good strong straps and the velcro is strong and holds well. The sole of the sandal is firm but "spongy" and so, are very comfortable. I feel very secure in them. I have had them now for about a month and haven't wore them everyday and the only little problem is they are beginning to smell a bit. I will wipe them down and they should be fine.These would make great hiking sandals for all of you that are lucky to go hiking!I want to buy another pair but the colors are very limited. I purchased the black and white ones in size 7 and they fit perfectly. They do not stick out in front and the heel cup is just right.Good luck in your shopping!
