Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ Gentex GENK20A Auto Dimming Mirror with Compass Temperature: Enhanced Visibility and Navigation Aid by Cris Drew

Perfect fit for 2nd generation Nissan Frontier SE

The factory mirror in my 2006 Nissan Frontier is old - the silver mirror coating on the edges has faded and I have never been able to 'exactly' align the mirror. This Gentex was easy to install, pressing right over the button and I lightly tightened the T-20 screw. I connected ground to one of the headliner screws located above the card's sunglass holder/light box. I routed the temperature sensor wire down the driver's side A-pillar and then out through the firewall grommet behind the brake booster. I have fitted a temperature sensor to the/rear/front license plate holder - the readings are accurate. I ran an extra power cable on the A pillar to one of the auxiliary fuses. My only complaint (not deducting a star for that) is the lack of instructions. I was able to find them online - it's the only way I can figure out where the two temp sensor pins go (on the opposite side of the harness from the ground pins and the auxiliary pins. So they're not polarized). It doesn't matter which ones you put in which hole, as long as they go through the holes furthest from the power and ground pins.) I also ordered a Gentex 50-9010227001M wire wrap to get ugly wires off my ceiling to keep. The mirror is MUCH better than the tiny factory mirror. The compass was in CAL mode until I drove a full circle, after which it lit up. I am very happy that I ordered this mirror.
