I built a home theater system using a Polk T50 from a major retailer. I tried to please them at a low price but returned them after extensive research for the SE6000 monitor. They're in a different league than the Polks and are worth every penny for the sound improvement. They create a beautiful soundstage - very wide and open with great clarity without tiring your ears. The mid-bass is tight and responsive. Two thumbs up!
