A great compromise between clear and colorless liquid detergents and clear liquid detergents and standard liquid detergents with excessive fragrance/dyes. I have sensitive skin that is prone to itching and irritation and none of the clothes I wash with these capsules give me any problems. Although the smell appears moderately strong during washing, it fades to a faint freshness on your clothes after drying. Baking soda really makes a difference when it comes to getting rid of odors! The cleaning power is quite good and quite acceptable if you only have light to medium soiling on your laundry. I use it for sheets, towels, washcloths, socks - everything is fresh and clean after washing with these capsules. Color retention and harmlessness of the clothing material are average. You can certainly use it for colored trousers and shirts. However, I generally stick with Tide for my colors in relation to pants, shorts, shirts, etc. due to the excellent color fastness results historically achieved with Tide. The same products also maintained the quality of the fabric well. Overall I have appreciated using these capsules for several years (5+) and have not had any issues with the cleansing quality or suitability for my sensitive skin. Also, I've never experienced "fancy" pods from them that wouldn't even dissolve in cold water.
