We normally use small disposable floss but wanted to try something reusable so we don't have to throw floss away every day. Depending on the size: the part where you put the floss on. about the same width as disposables, but thicker. The handle is a lot longer than the disposable floss (obviously) but quite nice. It took a few days to get used to the sizing, but we had no negative experiences with the sizing. Thread winding: Took a few days to get used to as well. Using a little extra thread helped it stay taut (I had trouble keeping it taut with 6 inch thread). Conclusion: I like it, I'm glad we bought it. I love that it's dishwasher safe - easy to clean! Would recommend if you like the convenience of flossing but don't want to use single use plastic.
