This is really cool stuff! I bought this for my good friend who is a photographer and she loves it! In fact, it looks like a lens with all the details. I bought the black one with the clear lid. I like the cover very much. It's like the glass part of the lens that you can see through. There are faux dials and switches that add authenticity to the product. It has a very tight seal so it is good for travel. The interior is stainless steel and insulated, also ideal for travel. It appears to be very well made. The exterior is made of good durable plastic and I think it's pretty durable. I haven't seen where it says it's dishwasher safe, but I think hand washing is probably preferable. You definitely shouldn't put it in the microwave. I think this is a great item and the perfect gift for a photographer or photography student.
