I rarely write reviews but this cat tree definitely exceeded my expectations. I have 2 kittens, both are 3 years old, tabby weighs 12 pounds and orange and white weighs 16 pounds. I bought this to replace a battered old tree whose scratching post had collapsed. I was specifically looking for something simple/modern with a "high" bed and scratching post. Based on the reviews I thought my redhead cat wouldn't be able to use the tree due to its size but I figured he would like the scratching post and I could use the bottom drawer to store his toys. Much to my surprise, my two kittens are all over this tree. I assembled it in just 24 hours and have already taken so many cute photos of the two with it. I sprayed them with their catnip spray so they would know it was theirs. I am very happy with my purchase. I definitely think I'll be buying a second one. I was very impressed by this scratching post.
