1. Make sure the tank fits on top. This is an aqueon stand for an aqueon style aquarium. If the bottom of your tank is flat (no edge) it won't work. I have a big problem with the bottom shelf. It is designed for a 15 liter tank. My 10 gallon tank is shorter but I figured it would fit based on the reviews. Shelf size is only 10 inches front to back. The 10 gallon water tank measures 10 3/8 inches. Obviously it's meant for a 15 gallon tank, and the ends will rest on the crossbars. There are more than a dozen. But 15 is not supported front and rear. I added a bracket to mine to make it work. Again, the shelf is only 10 inches front to back. If you put a 15 gallon tank on the ground, the ends will be supported, but the front and back will not. The 10 liters don't fit either. A great idea. , bad performance.
