I received these lamps as a more energy efficient alternative to the standard lamps in my trailer. We are completely off the grid, so saving energy is vital. Within minutes of turning on the new bulbs, the plastic casing, also known as the lighting fixture, around the new bulbs began to melt. This completely changes the clarity of the light and is a huge disappointment. On the left is one of the four Melty lights. On the right is the one I didn't put a new lightbulb in, twenty years ago and untouched. In the last photo there is a nice bright light burning. Buyers should beware and consider other (possibly higher quality) LED bulbs for their installation.
