Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Your Audio Experience with SUPVIN Portable Mini Computer Clip-On Speaker: Compact USB Powered Wired Laptop Stereo Multimedia Soundbar for Notebook Laptop Computer PC Desktop Tablets by Reed Nuttbrock

Works very well with minimal size and weight. Clamps can be improved.

I bought this because I have three Lenovo Netpads (two IdeaPads and one ThinkPad) with pretty poor built in speakers. My main goal was to get enough volume for the students in the class to hear the "buzzer" to complete some tests against the clock. The original speakers were almost drowned out by the projector next to my netbook. To be honest I was a bit shocked at how loud these speakers sound. Of course, they are supplied with power via a USB connection, so they have a further amplification stage in addition to the built-in netbook. I mean the buzzer is loud enough even for a class of 40 or 50 students. I then started using speakers to watch videos in my hotel room after class. (I already had it with me, after all.) The sound quality is certainly good enough for most movies and damn good even for music. They don't have a lot of bass, but the mids and highs are pretty clear. Best of all, the speakers pack into a package the size of a large hot dog and a muffin. They don't have batteries or a separate power supply, so they're pretty easy to carry in your laptop bag. The extra weight is negligible. The only downside is that the clips don't work well on thin netbook displays. They just don't hold on to that level of thinness. On the other hand, the brackets also act as coasters, so you can place them on the table and rotate them as you like. This is how I use them in class.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Poor repairability
