This is the third transformer I have bought for my pole lighting. I've always replaced them with something like a heavy block with pins for the socket. The problem is that sometimes I need to disable it, but I don't have a safe place to install it. This certainly solved that problem. A few small dowels and the thing is attached to the wall. Do not drop or get caught on objects. The body is made of metal. It really looks like a quality product. It took 20 minutes to assemble and connect the wires. Incidentally, I also bought an Alexa-enabled smart plug. It was cheaper than replacing a photocell in a mast. I have Alexa that turns the lights on at my post at dusk and off at dawn. If I ever install landscape lighting I will do the same. I can't comment on the durability of this transformer but I doubt I'll ever need to replace it.
