Many years ago I managed to dislocate my middle back and looking back I don't think I did enough to heal the injury. Since then I have tended to have back pain, especially in the middle back area and especially after sitting for a long time, e.g. B. on air travel. therefore tried to take measures to prevent and treat possible back pain. Really just simple, basic things like good lumbar support and posture. I decided to try this video and I'm very glad I did. It's not a silver bullet, but I've found that when I rock my middle back regularly, especially before and after a flight, any back pain or discomfort is minimized, and sometimes not at all. This roller feels strong enough to really penetrate the muscles and work through all the knots and areas of tension. I find it most effective when I place it on a hard floor and lie on it (belly to ceiling). ) and slowly roll back and forth. I tried using this while standing against a wall but found I couldn't easily build enough pressure by pushing off of it. It's better if I can lie on it and use my full body weight. Perhaps a stronger pillow will allow you to use it more effectively in a seated position. I have noticed that after only a few weeks of use it has become a bit clumpy and uneven which makes me wonder about the durability of this roller. But for now it works and it's been a big help.
