I've had the LX-B4FM intercom for a few days now and have been testing it. So far I can only recommend this device. I installed one device in an HJC CL-17 (L) helmet and the other in an LS2 Rapid (M) helmet. The standard Velco patch fits both earbuds, but the earbud cutout on the LS2 helmet is slightly smaller than the Velco patch. This did not result in any comfort or fit issues. The CL-17 helmet allowed me to use the communication clip. For the LS2 helmet I had to use a comm block glue. The length of the speaker and microphone cables were suitable for both helmets. Pairing the devices together was pretty painless. I was able to do this using the instructions in the attached guide. I was also able to pair it with my Android phone. The devices seem to remember the connections after a power outage. The volume is loud enough even with earbuds at city speeds. I haven't tried it at freeway speeds yet. FM radio in the city seems a bit patchy, but that could be due to buildings interfering with the signal. I've rerouted the wiring to run across the inside of my helmet, but I've yet to test this new configuration. Intercom and Bluetooth are perfect. The microphone is also fine (note that both helmets are closed). Google voice commands work great (note that Android has a setting that allows Google voice commands to unlock the phone). I can clearly hear another driver when we tested this at city speeds. Note that intercom works best when it's within line of sight of the other device - anything like hills interferes with it a lot. I suspect this is a problem with almost all intercom devices. Brief light rain did not damage the device. it again. This is great value. I really enjoy being able to chat with another driver during our rides.
