I have been using this product for a while now. I have to say everything is fine. Much to my dismay, I have a fairly curly beard. I have been told that such a product with balm and product can help me straighten my beard. Of course, this sometimes happens when it's wet. When it dries it rises again. To be fair, this particular product didn't claim to be the end of it all, the cure for all kinks, so judging it for that is unfair. It works well as a beard balm, but I would say honest Almish works just as well. And more importantly, I like the smell of HA better. As others have said, this product is fine, but for most, the smell can loosen or damage it. For lack of a better description, the scent is not stereotypically male. It smells like hand cream. I really can't describe it well as I don't know much about aromatic arts. I'm not Mr. Macho and in general I like this scent, but I just haven't seen a scent like this in a targeted men's product and would have preferred something else. Otherwise it works fine, I recommend it.
