This thing is so poorly constructed I'm surprised anyone would be careless enough to put it on the market. The first thing I noticed was that the heating coil does not distribute the heat evenly. When I took it apart it became clear why, as it wasn't really a coil, just a semi-circle of a heating element that kept one side of the pot cold and the other hot enough to set your food on fire. Second, the other side of the pot gets hot enough to burn your food. in just a few seconds, even if you have the Keep Warm setting turned on. This is because the only temperature control mechanism is 2 thermal switches with different settings (one for the keep warm setting and the other for one of the two cooking settings). Their calibration doesn't seem very accurate and their hysteresis is huge (which means the pan gets hot and burns your food before the thermal switch turns off, then it stays off long before it's cool enough to turn it back on. Third and final nail in the coffin - I almost found a workaround that made this thing a bit usable by turning it on for 4-5 seconds at a time and then manually turning it off and preventing vigorous mixing of my food burning at the hotspot but then the kink Switches on inside and damages the line voltage contactor so it stops conducting and turning on (this happens when you use a switch that isn't rated for the current rating of your device. I was able to swap a pin with one of the other pins, making it a bit longer made usable (minus one of the modes), but that over just a fire in the product's trash can would not even make it a mk1 pr Look at ototype. It's kind of a desktop hobby project, except they spent a decent amount of money making a conch shell to hide their hideous craftsmanship. I'm writing a review but I'm currently stuck in a government quarantine in Korea, I'm served cold food and this hot pot is my only way to heat it up, so I set it up to work well enough to do it take off the heat. But this product doesn't cost $26, it doesn't cost $0. By law, this item cannot be sold as a food appliance in its current condition. This piece of plastic and poorly assembled cheap (probably lead soldered) components is a terrible reflection of the seller (Seavox Commerce), this is a terrible reflection of the manufacturer (Desin), this is a terrible reflection of Chinese manufacturing, and that's a terrible reflection. I'm thinking of Revane. You all have to stick together, otherwise a bleak future awaits us.
