I actually use these in combination with another reusable swim nappy underneath for added protection. I love the feel of this wetsuit, I know it has to be snug to keep feces in, but it leaks a little in the stomach area. My 6 month old son is 17 pounds and the big feet were fine but I almost felt like I was choking on his small tummy. We didn't have any poop while using it but I'm sure if it had it would have kept them indoors. However, I would be comfortable using them without a buttoned reusable swim diaper underneath as they are almost loose fitting on the legs and snug fitting. Belly, and he should be able to grow into it, but we'll see. The style is cute. Generally like it
