Great for prototyping, this kit features 2x [2-10] connectors and a ribbon cable not found in many other kits. Colored headings and right angle headings are a thoughtful touch. Many of the boxes that these kits come in don't stay closed. This works correctly. I use it to play with Raspberry Pi. Making your own cables really helps keep things organized so you don't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what's loose. It will also make your project more impressive if you find someone willing to look at it. If you're getting into electronics breadboards as a hobby, this set is a better start than the smaller ones, eliminating the need to purchase dual row connectors separately later. Crimp connectors are a consumable item that you will eventually need to refill anyway. They need an iWiss SN-28B for crimping (someone get them a marketing guru to help them with the product names). For stripping wires, KNIPEX 12 42 195 (are also) are great, but not cheap. You can also use the Engineer PA-09 for crimping (I sense the industry's de-name trend here), but this is a slower and less reliable process. The PA-09 is the best option if you only have one connector and intend to use a much smaller connector as it works better with very small connectors. It also costs twice as much as iWiss. I bought it because I needed more Dupont crimp sockets and this whole kit with the number of sockets I needed plus everything else in it and a good housing cost the same. only plug. So the rest was a bonus and shipping was free. That's a good deal. Delivery was almost immediate. I have no idea how they do it.
