Review update 2 months later: I've worn them for over 10 laps in the wet and I can say they are totally waterproof. Everything is holding up very well, after a good wipe they look like new. Reapplication of 3M Waterproofing to a good degree, but so far so good. Just bought this shoe for upcoming winter golf, needed something waterproof but hard to find 4E width. I bought my true size 10.5 4E and it fits perfectly! Very comfortable, light and looks fantastic. Can't wait to try it out in PNW's (rainy) winter months! The update will take place at the end of the year. The processing makes a decent impression in view of the price. It feels a bit supple on the underside and the soft nubs look like they could have a slightly more aggressive pattern. I'm considering swapping them out for black widows, but let's see how far they go. The downside is the insole which definitely lacks arch support as it feels very flat. If that's a problem for you, you'll need a different insole - I recommend Scholl's memory gel or foam versions, which breathe. If you wear special or custom insoles go for these, but I find the Scholl insoles fit and feel great. Overall the shoe looks great, the waterproofness has yet to be tested. I sprayed with 3M Waterproofer for extra protection and easy cleaning.
