I bought two notebook stands. perch and this one. I wanted to see which one I like better and then return one, but ended up keeping both. This one is great anywhere because it's so portable. A perch is great for the office or when you sit at a desk for a long time. You cannot move around the roost stand. But the Nulaxy stand I find best when I'm going out or use it in bed because most of the time I'm in bed watching TV on my laptop. Blankets and sheets can easily block the laptop's ventilation openings and cause it to overheat. However, the Nulaxy stand is strong and stable enough to use in bed. Overall a great stand that will last thanks to its aluminum construction.
