I bought this particular TeckNet model because it has 5 fans and they seem to be in the corners where my laptop generates the most heat. It's relatively durable, stable, and its fans are definitely quieter than my laptop. I like blue lights. I'm not a fan of the rotary switch in general, and while this is pretty solid, it's not entirely clear in terms of on/off and fan speed range. You get used to it after understanding the characteristics of the dial beforehand. I would prefer a simple switch like TECKNET Laptop Cooling Pad Portable Slim Quiet USB Powered Laptop Cooling Pad Cooling Pad with 3 Blue LED Fans Suitable for 12-17 inch. I compare this TeckNet with this one. This one (5 fans) is more durable, stable and has its fans in the right place. However, I don't like the rotary switch. I didn't use the fold down thing in the bottom center to "catch" a sliding laptop as my laptop doesn't slide down. In general a good product. Mind you, I'm just reviewing this one and it's out of the box and works great. I believe that in the long run it will be a good, reliable and high quality product.
