I am generally negative towards negative reviews. However, this supposedly 1TB USB drive is going to give people trouble if they don't know, and I'm trying to help here. Here are the test results for a 660GB to 670GB and 1000GB drive. 1024090MB tested. The medium is probably defective. 256 KB OK (512 sectors) 9.7 GB DATA LOST (20479488 sectors) Details: 1.9 MB overwritten (3968 sectors) 9.7 GB corrupt (20475520 sectors) 64 KB memory alias (128 sectors) First error in Offset: 0x000000000000000 Expected: 0x000000000000 0ff0ffffff0ff2ffHFF000ff0ffHFF found.wfftest.wfftest version 1.3 Write speed: 2.08 MB/s Read speed: 14.5 MB/s That's about 40,000 errors/damages to 1 success/use. Needless to say, this is unacceptable. However, not wanting to believe the worst sellers I ordered a return/replacement and will update this review if the second round turns out to be good. drive.Qualifier -- I'm not concerned about slow speeds, I'm just concerned about memory quality. It was designed as a backup for your music collection and as a handy portable drive that doesn't suffer the loss of being near large speaker magnets. The average device only consumes about 2GB of MP3, and that for 2-3 hours.
