I bought these primarily for the spoons because it's hard to find the 2 teaspoon and 1 1/2 tablespoon measurements I use often. The spoon is made of brittle plastic that breaks easily if crushed or handled roughly. The spoons' handles appear to be made of lightweight but durable aluminum, and the dimensions are engraved in both US and metric units. The cups are massive and have unnecessarily long handles - up to 5 1/2 inches long. The total length of 1 cup is 9 INCHES! The mugs are made of thick plastic and have a metal handle engraved with US and metric measurements. I think this set is perfect for scooping out cat or dog food as the long handles are perfect for reaching into a bag or container. ; or measuring lawn products etc. but I find that impractical for baking.
