I'm apparently a side sleeper. This is NOT for side sleepers.It also slides around on my sleeping pad.I ended up adding my sweatshirt to the top of this while sleeping, but the pillow shot out from under as I was "tossing and turning".If I was using this for in the car, or if I slept on my back, it would probably be fine.But I love how small it rolls down to and how QUICKLY it inflates (like 2 to 4 huge breaths). And it holds that too.
