I've been using my product for a couple of weeks now and I find it really impressive. I will divide my review into several categories and try to be as honest and selective as possible, but hopefully my enjoyment of the product will show: First open/packaging: 4.5/5 - The packaging came in a very nice box, very elegant and surprisingly smaller than I expected. Upon opening the box everything was very secure and well in place and nothing had room to wobble so I knew it was secure. The adhesive holding the instructions in place tore the paper a bit, which is common when you put something in an Arizona mailbox, but the only real downside I found with the packaging was that the Sensor for using his sliding door hidden underneath was one of the Notion sensors. Luckily I decided to take it out of the box first as I was planning on putting it on the back slider first. If I had picked a different sensor out of the box I might not have thought it would come with the sensor. Once you remove the touch sensor, you will definitely notice the monitor slider in the box with no flaws. All in all great packaging, just make sure you take everything out of the box and take stock before you start installing. Instructions and Installation: 5/5 - The instructions are simple, clear and definitely simplified to help you with this. I was very surprised when I opened the Apple App Store and saw that the Notion app didn't have good reviews because once I opened it I haven't had any issues since. Most of the negative reviews I've read on the App Store (and here) seem to be related to the instructions/installation step, as many people don't realize that they often have 2 WiFi signals, just make sure you are on 2. 4 Hz and you have NO setup or installation issues. The only two "criticisms" I have at this point are that 1. the bridge is still a bit unwieldy, I would have liked to have shortened it a bit or if it was a joint (like a wifi booster or even night light for the hallway or something) and 2. when i installed the sensor on the garage door i placed it so that it was on top of the door but partially behind the metal frame. The metal frame seemed to muffle the signal so I moved it inward a few inches and it worked great (the glue is VERY strong so make sure you take that into account before gluing anything). Operation and further use: 5/5 - This step covers everything since I installed the sensor and assigned functions. Since then I have integrated devices with Nest and IFTTT and I really like this product. We currently use 3 sensors, one on the garage, tailgate and front door, and we use them as a kind of 'burglar alarm' so to speak. What really impresses me is the speed of the notifications, even when I'm not at home. We used customization with third party apps and really enjoyed the results we got from the product. All sensors are set to monitor close/open, humidity and temperature, although in Arizona humidity and temperature are a bit moot anyway (hot and dry) and all functions provide accurate, timely and VERY useful information. "Did I leave the garage open?" "Do I want to pretend to follow my wife and ask her where she's going every time the garage or door opens?" "Someone breaks into my house?" But Seriously, I'm only a few weeks old and have really enjoyed the product and been very impressed overall. I look forward to continuing to explore some other options and I think once I have more sensors I can really open up the possibilities. I haven't spoken to my insurance company about the discounts yet. Hooray.
