I have VERY large calf muscles and other gaiters have always been very tight for me. Especially since I wear several layers of clothing and walk a lot. These fit PERFECTLY. I've had them for about a month so far and have done 3 hikes in the Rocky Mountains on varied terrain and am very happy with them. I wear mid-height, wide-soled, waterproof Keen boots, with these gaiters I went through 2-foot sections of snow and stayed dry. The top has a nice strap that secures the gaiters and keeps them from slipping while walking. I will continue to test and update throughout the winter.
