Super lightweight portability and versatility. Easy to use!

The STYDDI Heavy Duty Impact Sprinkler on Tripod Base is exactly as advertised. It arrives with easy to understand instructions for adjusting the sprinkler head spray patterns. There were no instructions for adjusting the tripod height but it is really easy to figure out.Two plastic tension clamps on each of the three tripod legs are easy to flip out for leg lengthening and then flip them back in for tension to hold the leg where you place it. What I love about the legs and clamps is that you can manually place one leg to the height you want, set that leg onto the ground (supporting the sprinkler in the air with one hand), then release both clamps on the second leg with your free hand and the leg falls on its own to exactly the same length as the first. Now, flip the clamps closed and do this same thing with the third leg. No tugging or pulling necessary and it’s like the tripod leveled itself. So easy!Directions state that it functions best on the lawn as opposed to a hard surface because it could tip if placed on a hard surface. If you planned to use it from a patio, you’ll want to be aware of that. The legs do not have any sort of spike at the bottom so I’m not certain what could lead to tipping if sat on hard surfaces…The tripod is very sturdy. Not only can you adjust the height of the legs individually, you can adjust the span of the legs as well with a nut that loosens/tightens to telescope the tripod by way of widening or narrowing the distance between the three legs. The versatility is awesome! It has the standard hose connection. Attach the hose and test your spray pattern. It’s the typical sprinkler head with the return pin (clip) so you can set a wide array of short or full spray patterns. Mine arrived set to run a full 360 degrees circle pattern with the return pin (clip) flipped down to ratchet backwards to the starting position and then run a full 360 degrees again. Flip the clip up and it just runs 360 degrees continuously in the forward direction without ratcheting backwards to start again. The taller the tripod is positioned, the further your water will shoot. This is why I ordered the tripod sprinkler. It will be awesome for the raised bed garden. The sprinkler head also has the diffuser screw at the front of the water outlet hole. You can back the screw out of the water stream for a straight jet stream or tighten the screw into the water stream to create a diffused fan spray.Overall, a fantastic and versatile sprinkler tripod that pretty much levels itself with awesome sprinkler distance.
