I bought this for a quadcast mic and generally it's a mechanical mic boom. The base of the arm that attaches to the table is of the lowest quality. I found it constantly slipping and falling off my desk, and the slightest movement of the mic arm threw the clamp off the desk. The rubber pads that were supposed to prevent them from moving came loose essentially because the glue holding them in place was of poor quality. what I expected from a cheap microphone stand
