If you have short, fine and thin hair, use small curlers.
They are very comfortable for sleeping. I've used sponge rollers before. If you have fine and/or short hair, larger hair may not hold up well. I have thin, thin, medium length hair that falls out all the time. I also had wet hair in the mornings so I had to let it dry before putting on the little curlers. This results in a nice wavy curl.
