I received a free purchase to view this item because I had previously purchased a bark collar from the same company. I have a small Maltipoo that barks a bit, but I don't really like the idea of stun collars either, so I was happy to see that this one only implements sound and vibration. I know that may not be enough for some dogs, but it is enough for mine. She usually knows when she's wearing a collar and won't bark when she's wearing one, but the few times she barked was enough to keep her from barking again. I will say that sometimes it seems like the collar is on but when I check the red light is not flashing so I have to turn it back on. Might be user error but that's the only problem I had. Also the size and light weight are definitely good for a small dog.
