During my 2006 Ford Expedition I had a connection with a cat. My options were 1 $300 factory spec cat, both $1000 factory spec cat, or two of them and less than $60 at your local exhaust shop to make adapters and weld them in place. Almost the same size as the original and the O2 sensors connect directly. I was warned in advance that some OBD-II computers would not like universal cats and would leave the "Check Engine Soon" light on. Not so with these. After putting them on I wanted to go to the local auto parts store to have the light cleaned but I kept putting it off. About day 3 the lightbulb went out by itself and never came on again.
