I was looking for a bin that would be good for long trips so I wouldn't have to worry about leaks or spills from my regular plastic grocery bags. . I also like that it holds the litter in a solid form and creates more legroom than any homemade litter solution. I've found it great for all travel, although inevitably I have a lot of straw wraps and have nowhere to put them. It fits nicely on the outside of the mesh pocket on the passenger side of my GLE 580 and Camry. I use small bathroom sized trash bags so cleaning isn't a concern. It's big enough to even hold a couple of medium sized plastic water bottles. When the bin is empty or just filled with dry rubbish, this is a great place to hold even a water bottle so it doesn't roll away, but not a valuable drink holder.
