Our child was the most fidgety newborn. She broke out of her wrapped blanket and would wake up in the middle of the night even when she wasn't hungry, which for me was more awakening. I was afraid of hearing her fidgeting or squirming when she wakes up because I knew I would go to her bassinet to change her diaper (which I was terrible at) and then she would fall asleep again. This zipper diaper was the perfect solution! It's so easy to slip on and is the perfect softness and lightness for summer. Yes, she didn't have her arms tucked in at her sides, but this babe loves to have her hands in front of her face, so it was the best of both worlds - hands up but still restrained. I loved closing her bottom half for a diaper change and still leaving her top half neat and discreet. She slept great in that diaper. I'm using the past tense here because, yes, it's declining. She was born weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces. We bought it when she was 20 days old. She got tighter and tighter over the weeks and I was worried she was too tight - but no, not yet - after the last wash she definitely got too small when she was only 40 days old. It was a bummer. We bought this diaper for 3-6 months before she was 2 months old. It didn't work at first because the top was looser and one arm kept falling out, but since it's gotten bigger and also shrunk a bit it now fits great and has plenty of room to grow.
