This sea belt leash is a great idea but in fact this particular model is probably intended for small to medium sized dogs with a soft and docile nature. Unfortunately, my dog does not match any of the above descriptions. Now I understand that I sacrificed quality for the price. I really wanted to try this because it was so inexpensive but when I compare this leash to my dog's current leash which is double I can see why it doesn't quite fit larger dogs. I have an energetic male Doberman who prefers to sit right by the window where he can stick his nose out. We tried several times to put the seat belt on but it didn't work on my dog. If you have a small dog or your dog tends to be quiet, this could be a really good option for you. Otherwise, you might want to spend a little more for a more powerful alternative.
